Our school held our Blue Spruce 2018 Celebration and voted for Shark Lady in 1st place.   We are thrilled to announce Shark Lady won Blue Spruce 2018!  Honour books were Great and The Boy  Who Lived Down the Drain.

The Red Maple 2018 winner was The Winnowing!

Forest of Reading 2015 Has Begun!

Happy New Year means Happy Reading at Angus Morrison!

Dragons from Grades 1 to 3 have started Blue Spruce 2015, the Red Maple and Silver Birch Team began reading before Christmas and the Silver Birch Express Team started on Friday!

Voting for each group will be at the end of April.

Forest of Reading 2013 Results are in!

Our school voted the week of April 30th and submitted our results to the Ontario Library Association. These are the results from schools all across Ontario.

Here goes:

Blue Spruce Winner for our school:  Kate and Pippen, followed by Splinters then Don’t Laugh at Giraffe

Ontario Blue Spruce winner:   Kate and Pippen, followed by Splinters then Don’t Laugh at Giraffe    Wow!  We matched the rest of Ontario!

Silver Birch Non-Fiction Winner for our school:  Explorers Who Made It……..or died trying

Ontario Silver Birch Non-Fiction Winner:  No Shelter Here: Making the World a Kinder Place for Dogs, followed by Case Files: 40 Murders and Mysteries Solved by Science then 50 Underwear Questions: A Bare-All History

Silver Birch Fiction Winner for our school: Making Bombs for Hitler,  followed by a three way tie,  Missing, The Grave Robber’s Apprentice and Cat Found

Ontario Silver Birch Fiction Winner: Making Bombs for Hitler, followed by Missing then A Tinfoil Sky

Red Maple  Winner for our school:  Testify, followed by The Vindico, and a tie between End of Days and Vampire Stalker

Ontario Red Maple  Winner:  The Vindico (our Red Maple Team met the author Wesley King at the Red Maple 2013 Celebration at Minesing E.S.!) followed by This Dark Endeavour then The Vampire Stalker
